Featuring image galleries of over 120 of Victoria's country towns.

Professional images supplied to the tourism and advertising industry for over 20 years.

This is the photography site of professional travel writer Peter Robinson, who has collected a huge image library of Australian Places. There are galleries from most states and the focus is on the stark beauty of the Australian outback, wildlife, the rugged mountains, drought-stricken lands and sandy deserts. Peter's cameras reveal an amazing wealth of spectacular coastal scenery and the beautiful architecture of heritage towns - much of Victoria's best being a legacy of the 1850s Gold Rush.

In Tasmania you'll see Cradle Mountain, flora and fauna, the wonderful scenic city of Hobart with its docks and fshing fleet, Stanley, Tasman Peninsula, Port Arthur convict station, Strahan and a host of others.

In South Australia there's Adelaide, the capital city, but some of the best scenery is in the Outback - the Flinders Ranges in particular, or perhaps William Creek and Oodnadatta: remote, rugged, and incredibly harsh, but enigmatic and beautiful to those who venture there in a well-equipped 4WD.

In New South Wales there's the unforgettable sight of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and bridge. But the lonely country of remote western NSW, out the back of Bourke, has stark beauty, opal mining towns and places where the Darling River offers tenuous life. The Outback indeed.

The Northern Territory has scenic marvels like Ayers Rock (not represented due to aboriginal restrictions), Palm Valley, Kakadu and the Lightning Brothers, red sand deserts, mountains and chasms, the Outback.

Western Australia is represented by the far north, the magnificent Kimberleys, Gibb River Road, and Broome.

These photos are placed on the net for all to enjoy in the hope that it will inspire tourists from around the world to visit Australia and see the sights for themselves. On the other hand, images are available for commercial sale to travel magazines, the advertising industry and tourism bodies both government and local.

Travel publications are invited to enquire about Australian text and photography features for their pages. Over the past 24 years Peter has had thousands of features published in travel sections of major Australian dailies, travel magazines, top-selling accommodation guides, and four wheel drive magazines.

I welcome your photo queries - rates for full-size images are as low as AUD$55
